Guerrilla Marketing: Army of Alcyone!

Guerrilla Marketing
Join The Army of Alcyone

Warning: this is for hardcore fans only!

As an independently published author there are times I need a little help from my friends. It's for this reason I've compiled a list of awesome ways you can help (some of them stolen, ah, er, borrowed, directly from the Firefly Guerrilla marketing page). Hey, if it's good enough for Malcolm Reynolds, it's good enough for me.

Here's how you can help spread the word of all things Alcyone:

Awesome Reviews! Reviews Rock. Reviews are the best way of showing potential readers that picking up a TGfA novel is a good idea! Pop by Amazon and drop a review. The more shamefully self-promoting the better.

Reviews really do help spread the word.

On Amazon you can vote "Yes" For good reviews (and vote "No" to the bad ones). Believe it or not, this one's a big one. Every review on Amazon features a voting feature. Popular reviews rise to the top, and unhelpful reviews drop to the bottom. Taking a moment to cast your vote ensures that new readers see the good ones first.

Listopia: Vote for TGfA! Listopia is an awesome way to find new books. I use these lists for my own reading to find new writers. I love them. I'm lucky to have TGfA on a bunch of these lists, everything from 'Best Sci-Fi/Futuristic Romance' to 'Best Science Fiction With a Female Protagonist.' But for this to work, we need you to vote!

Donate A Paperback Copy To Your Library. We're in a couple of libraries now, and I love it. Let's go for more!

Show the book to as many people as possible. You still can't beat word of mouth.

Bookclubs! Read a TGfA novel at your SciFi book club.

Share announcements on Facebook! I love facebook. I've got two pages: my Author's Page, and my Personal Page. Friend or Like both! It's a great way of spreading the word. Sharing announcements really helps spread the word. Shares rock.

And by all means, suggest an idea! If you have an idea, please feel free to suggest it in the comment box, and if it makes sense I'll be sure to add it.
